Privacy Policy

Who we are

InfinityBuilds is operated by Infinity Team, a community of Diablo IV players based in France. The data controller for the purposes of GDPR Art. 4(7) is Infinity Team. The contact person for privacy matters is Mekuna; reach us via the Discord server linked in the footer.

Data we collect

We only collect what we need to run the service:

• Account information — your email address and display name when you sign up, plus the avatar URL provided by your sign-in provider (Discord, Google, or Twitch).
• Content you create — builds, guides, comments, favorites, and any text you write inside the planner.
• Technical data — IP address, browser user agent, and basic request logs kept for security and abuse prevention.
• Aggregate usage data — anonymous page views and feature usage that help us improve the site.

Why we use it

We use this data to provide the service (storing your builds, signing you in, showing you content), to keep the platform safe (rate limiting, abuse detection), and to improve features. We do not sell your personal data and we do not use it for advertising profiling.

Legal basis (GDPR Art. 6)

Account data and content you submit are processed under contract (Art. 6(1)(b)) so we can deliver the service you signed up for. Security logs and aggregate analytics are processed under our legitimate interest in operating a safe and reliable platform (Art. 6(1)(f)). Optional cookies are processed only with your consent (Art. 6(1)(a)).

Who we share data with

We share data only with processors that help us run the service, under data processing agreements:

• Our hosting and edge-delivery provider (covered by EU Standard Contractual Clauses where applicable).
• Our authentication and managed-database provider (EU region).
• xAI Grok (machine translation of build content into other languages — content is sent only after a build is published, and only the publicly visible text is translated).

Build translations

When you publish a build, the public text fields (title, description, notes) may be sent to Grok (xAI) to generate translations into other supported languages. Private drafts are not translated. The footer carries an ongoing attribution to Grok for these translations.

Your rights

Under GDPR and the French Data Protection Act, you have the right to access, correct, export, and delete your personal data, to restrict or object to processing, to define directives concerning the use of your data after death, and to lodge a complaint with the Commission Nationale de l'Informatique et des Libertés (CNIL — www.cnil.fr) or any other competent EU supervisory authority. To exercise these rights, contact us via Discord (link in the footer) — we respond within 30 days.

How long we keep data

Account data is kept for as long as your account exists. When you delete your account, we remove your personal data within 30 days; published builds may be retained in anonymized form (no author attribution) if other users have favorited or referenced them. Security logs are kept for up to 90 days.

Children

InfinityBuilds is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will remove it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the service evolves. The "last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be announced on the site.
